No longer the preserve of Wealth Managers and the privileged few, Art is now firmly in the public domain. Once seen as an alternative asset class, art is now recognised by financial commentators and wealth managers as a real asset.

Art is now tracked by indices such as the Mei-Moses All Art Index which demonstrate, that over the past 50 years fine art has clearly outperformed Stocks. The most recent 5 and 10 year compound annual returns for art show increases of 11.7% and 9.5% exceeding the returns of stocks over the same period which retracted by 2.2% and 1.4% respectively.
